I’m really interested in hearing what a 2018 Underoath sounds like. I love Disambiguation like the rest but I would hope for something new while retaining some of their old sound.

Anyways, I really hope I love the new song and that pre orders go up tomorrow with the new song.

i hope there are no traces of their pre disambiguation sound and they move forward

But that would be leaving out traces of their actual best album (LITSOS)

It really depends on my mood but I typically go back and forth between Disambiguation & LITSOS for best UO record.

Sounds like what's really needed right now is *looks left, looks right, looks left again* some rankings.

I love each one for different reasons. None were the same which made them very cool. I for one loved Aaron playing off of Spencer's vocals so I'm excited for that. Spencer on cleans here and there could be cool, too. They've done it in the past.

I don't want it to "sound like" any of their old stuff, but rather just be Underoath in 2018 and be as cohesive and forward sounding for their career.

They aren't the type to go backward in sound.

Yeah I generally also really enjoy bands that have two vocalists, I've always been a fan of two singers playing off of each other. So I'm with you on that one for sure. I hope they have Spencer screaming/Aaron singing and Spencer singing/Aaron singing.

It better be fucking heavy. I need Tim to lay down some sick riffs.

I mean, the trend with their stuff, even when Aaron was still there, was that each album got progressively heavier, so I don't think we need to worry about them putting out an electro dream-pop album or anything.

LITSOS without aaron would be just as good as disambiguation. i just dont think his whiny pop punk-esque vocals fit with the super heavy shit they go for on that album which is why disambiguation is better. spencer's singing voice services this band better than aaarons

i also think daniel davison is a much better drummer than aaron

I’m going to at least like this as long as it isn’t a total regression. I’m feeling optimistic, too.
