You can get anything besides mountains here. Dense forest, big cities, large bodies of water, all of the seasons. That I can drive for 8 hours and still be in the state of Michigan.

Unfortunately, the hatred of winter, nearly undriveable roads are pushing me more and more to look for jobs outside of the region. If I don't start my own business by 2020 it's hard to envision myself here unless my role at work expands into such a position that it's incredibly hard to leave monetarily and creatively.

Two Hearted. I can get it fresh in Michigan so many places and I have a lot of memories drinking it in my early 20s

Make pesto with your choice of noodles and some chicken breast.

    She’s the best.

    Honestly never heard of it.

Chicken stuffed pesto ended up happening so I like how close this was

That meal sounds amazing. Two Hearted is made by Bells Brewing in Michigan and distributed throughout most of the country.

This thread is making me wish I knew more about beer. I always felt inadequate living in pdx and not knowing anything about it. Prospective dates would wanna go out for a beer and it's like i guess, if u pick something out for me to try! But it never happened.

Yeah I used to be like "Oh I know enough about beer to get by" and then I joined Chorus.fm and now I feel like a clueless idiot all the time

For me its an ideal world of a date was like “pick out a beer for me” that’s when I’m excited. I enjoy doing that.
Yeah, I wish the beer community was more open to new drinks but — at least around Michigan — it seems to just be a lot of people saying “drink this don’t drink that” and that’s not productive. I want to get people into beer, not scare them away by talking about flavor notes they’re won’t pick up on and being super nerdy. I used to be a bit obnoxious about it but learned to really not be that type of beer snob anymore just offering unsolicited opinions about things.

Tie between grapes, melons and strawberries. Nothing better than grilled asparagus in the summertime.

I gave a homeless man a $20 after chatting for like 15 minutes while I was waiting for my friend.

@bigmike what's something the general populous tends to care about that you can't seem to wrap your head around?

Additionally, what is something popular on Chorus that is popular that you don't give a fuck about?

    Since 2005
    Ben and Jerry's Americone Dream
Hate almost all reality television but love certain cooking shows. If I watch any reality tv, which I basically don't because I don't have cable (or even a tv at the moment), it'd be cooking-bases. Or, travel based, I suppose. I enjoy Anthony Bourdain a lot.
Early chopped was good. Iron Chef, both the original and the reboot are enjoyable. If Diners, Drive-In's and Dives counts, I very much enjoy that. But the GOAT for me is Good Eats.
Movies. People around me these days seem way more into movies than at any point in my life and I'm just giving a blank stare. Also, celebrities, I just don't care about anything that has to do with celebrities (except big news like Kevin Spacey being a complete scumbag).

As far as this site, it'd probably be movies followed closely by Fall Out Boy. I think FOB's reboot after their hiatus has been largely garbage and people keep heaping praise on it and it baffles me. Also have a hard time separating Pete Wentz from the bands music.

Also, that wasn't meant to shame anyone who likes movies. Pretty much all of my hobbies are things people aren't interested in. Not many people really care what a proper carbonation level for a particular belgian beer should be.
