Just gave Don't Panic a listen in preparation for the next round. It had been a while and I'm a little surprised at how much I still like it. Probably still my favorite from them. even if the "It's Longer Now" version is a bit longer than it actually needs to be.

Actually, I would switch out four of the songs on the album with the four extra tracks.

So Long Soldier -> Me Without You (All I Ever Wanted)
The Irony of Choking on a Lifesaver -> Canals
Outlines -> A Love Like War
So Long, and Thanks for All the Booze -> Oh, Calamity!

 

It's not even that I like the extra tracks any less than the regular album. I just think that a nearly hour long (excluding the acoustic tracks) pop punk album is going to feel a bit long regardless. The 12 song length is perfect for an album like this, in my opinion.

As for swapping out tracks, I definitely agree with changing So Long for Oh, Calamity!. Not sure I'd do the other ones, though (I never liked A Love Like War as much as most people seemed to)

Solid top 4, but I do really wish Forget About It was there instead of Heroes. My ideal final match-up would've been Do You Want Me (Dead?) vs. Forget About It. But I can't be mad about people picking Heroes.

 

Forget About It is my favorite track on this album.
