Yep, "Dry Spells" is still my #1, but totally in

 

I think Dry Spells has the most interesting guitar work, but there's just something about Love on Repeat... maybe it's the damn video! haha

 

Love on Repeat is the GOAT and my current favourite.

 

"Blue" is definitely going to eff me up every time.

 

Wish I could get into "Manila," though.

 

I only listened to two songs off of this so far and I've already heard Charisma but I can't wait until work is over so I can hear the rest. Gah. I hate not being able to listen to music at work.

The last line of Blue was probably the only line that really stuck out to me on first listen. I'll need to sit down and listen with the lyrics soon.

Great insight into the record. I like Sean’s writing, worked with him on the out of service ep and he’s a hard working writer.

 

Right now it's a toss up between dry spells and love on repeat for me

 

sounds great

 

I missed the Goodness talk, but i do think the way the vocals are mixed on this album remind me of Goodness a lot. A little bit more buried in the mix than the usual album.

 

First listen is good so far. It seems like a grower, like Keep You was for me. On my first listen tho, Fake Lighting, Manila, and Blue are my favs.

Strangest thing tho, at the end of Blue I actually started to cry out of the Blue (pun definitely intended). beautiful song.

 

In preparation for this, I listened to The Lack Long After for the first time properly. I've always loved Keep you but somehow never went further back.

That last track. Christ. Lyrically and emotionally unbelievable.

idk where it sits as far as their discography or anything but im just happy we have a new album from them

 

I’ll get by is one of my favorite songs ever

 

I can 100% see why. I love this his lyrics a lot, and I'm really anticipating hearing a slightly less sad Pianos record and the lyrics on it.

Charisma is a song that has soundtracked my last two months.

 

I'll Get By is their best song. Liquid Courage -> Spine is their second best. Spine is crushing too. There are so many amazing emotional lyrical moments on TLLA.

 

Spine is my favorite off of TLLA, easily. That transition tho.

 

Surprised there's not more Manila discussion here. That's the easy standout of the 2nd half for me (except Blue obv)
