FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE BLACK PARADE:

It's less of a Queen ripoff than I always assumed it was. There's a couple songs and a couple parts of songs that I liked. I felt like a few of the songs sounded a little too similar to each other. Are the songs supposed to be part of a story? I didn't really pay attention to the lyrics at all, because 1. I never really pay attention to lyrics, and 2. His voice kinda bugs me so I didn't want to focus on it too much. Anyway, I'm not going to listen to this again. But at least I can say I listened to it, right!? haha...

 

My sister-in-law let me borrow the graphic novel awhile back.

Why Sound is the venue up there. Or at least that's the only one I know of. We've played there once, but I think we plan on playing there again soon, for sure. Probably this summer, if not the spring. We've been talking about going up there again.

 

He isn't Hugh Jackman

 

To be fair, I grew up on Blink-182. They were the band that got me into music and the band that made me start playing guitar, which is basically my only real passion. So yeah, Blink will always be my favorite band. But that doesn't mean that I haven't been disappointed with their output over the last few years.

MCR's popularity came after I started listening to other kinds of music and stuff, so I missed that train completely.

 

There's a new one (I think?) called the Cache.
I just overheard some people talking about it.

 

Oooooh! That's intriguing, because I don't like Why Sound very much. The stage is hardly big enough for the drums, let alone anyone else. I kept bumping my head on the ceiling, haha. I'll have to look into The Cache! Thanks for the tip.
