nope. I turn off my phone so i don't have to deal with all the fucking texts, phone calls, or social media app notifications. It's daunting. My ideal wishing of a happy birthday is to call my phone, let it ring once, and then hang up. That way I know you called on my birthday with the assumption you thought about me were going to wish me a happy birthday but I do'nt have to talk to you or deal with listening to your voicemail, responding to your text, or clearing the facebook notification. One call, one ring, that's it. I have optimized the birthday experience and others should consider adopting my happy birthday wishing policy.

 

find one flaw in that policy, I dare you. it's a perfected system.

 

Isolating with no way to communicate with you on your bday. Sounds like a flaw to me lol.

how is that a flaw? why is communication with me on my birthday something that is apparently expected or that others are entitled to? In operating in the common expectation that that particular day of the anniversary of my birth should be "my day" where I get to pick "fun" activities or ways to spend it to "celebrate," is my wanting to be left alone on that day somehow violating that common expectation somehow? Others want to spend it going out to bars, great. I want to spend it being left alone and not bothered.
