I've only listened in full twice, but those first 4 tracks are great. I'm also partial to "My Good Grades" and "Die Old".

Like this one right away. reminds me of older blink like off Enema/TOYPAJ

obviously no Tom voice but I'm getting used to Matt.

Again, I think blink is at their best when they get to the song and finish it. show some urgency.

Sounds like blink tried to right a Fall out boy song and I don't care for it.

The best songs on the standard California are "Left Alone" and "San Diego"

 

The best song on the deluxe California is "6/8"

I actually really like 6/8 off the deluxe, but that song is so not a blink 182 song

 

The only song I really like is bored to death on that album.

6/8 sounds enough blink to me that I can accept it.


Accept it as one of my favorite deluxe tracks that is!!

 

I would love if that's what their sound was like on the next record. It's most reminiscent of Matt's influence on the band imo
