I mean they were fine but nothing really clicked with me and I never went back to any of them. Just one of those bands that I've never been able to get into. @teebs41 knows what im talking about he's the same when it comes to them.

I love high violet and boxer.

The newest 2 albums are good, but I didn’t think they were as good as the 2 I just mentioned

I saw them play their entire record live before it came out, and I couldn't get into it. IDK why they sort of click sometimes and I get their appeal but I just find myself bored a lot. Its just how i feel. they do a great reigns of castemere tho

 

I also haven't been able to get into The National. I had a brief flirtation with High Violet, but for the most part there is nothing that stays with me after listening to one of their albums.

 

but its also cool bc its not like the national need my fandom, they are a pretty big band at this point

 

In linguistics today we learned some bullshit about why words like “fridge” have a “d” yet “refrigerator” does not. I wasn’t paying attention so I couldn’t tell you why, but I still think it’s dumb and doesn’t make any sense.

 

That is fuckin' bullshit. I've been spelling refridgerator wrong this hole thyme.

I'm a casual fan of The National. I have Alligator, Boxer, High Violet, Trouble Will Find Me and Sleep Well Beast on my iPod, but I find I rarely revisit them. Standout tracks are All the Wine, Val Jester, Fake Empire, Terrible Love, Bloodbuzz Ohio, Graceless and Don't Swallow the Cap.

Graceless or Fake Empire is probably their best track and I don't remember a single one off the new album

They just have a low-key sound that is beautiful but boring sometimes
