Forgive me if people realized this and/or don't care, but:
Track 3 - "It Must Get Lonely" maybe a reference to Madelyn?
("I know it must get lonely by the Chesapeake")?

 

nice spot captain. and far, far more obvious, but maybe 'When the Blue finally came' is related to The Bluest Things on Earth. And Heaven's Gate -> NCTH as someone else pointed out in this thread I think

 

Also realized the last TWY album theme revolved around "brothers", i.e. "no saviors if we can't save our brothers" and this one (presumably) revolves around "sister" cities

 

I caught up with the last 10+ pages of this thread since the song leaked just to say I like it and jesus christ this thread is really something

 

Just finally heard the title track. Really like it!

 

There's a line in Sister Cities which annoys me -

"I watched the busses leave in silence, bound for foreign distant places"

My ears either want to hear "far and distant places" or "foreign destinations" but not "foreign distant places"

 

Ah, the way it was on the website, it looked like the fox one so I'm not too bothered haha.

 

Dates finally leaked, touring with Tiny Moving Parts, Tiger’s Jaw and Worriers

That is a really great lineup, really excited to finally see Worriers and to see TMP for the first time since they were touring This Couch Is Long. Obviously Tigers Jaw is always great as well.

Seriously though everyone going to the Asbury date should meet up.

I'm going to have to stop by the ol' Speakeatery for a sandwich too. Or keep the Chorus tradition alive and go to the Mexican restaurant within walking distance of the venue. La Tapatia is the best.

Woooooo that’s a mighty fine tour. I guess I’ll sit through tiny moving parts again :P But stoked for the other bands and stoked that it’s at a venue I can walk to.
