I don't think this band would be as good at this genre if they hadn't spent time in hardcore. I don't know if that makes sense, but the musician ship really shines through.

 

I reeeeally hope they tour the UK for this album.

I know they are doing a couple of small festivals over here, so hopefully we get a full tour.

 

overall that was an amazing first listen, no idea how it stands up to Keep You yet but I know its going to be something I play a ton this year.

 

The drumming on this is top notch.

 

Who cares about how you’ll feel later lol? If everytime you love seomthing but think “but how will I feel in X time”, you might as well like nothing

 

Also who cares if someone thinks this could be their AOTY? I’ll never understand the need to rain on people’s parades

 

Do you guys think if I buy the preorder now they’ll send me the download?

 

I won’t be listening to the leak but I’m happy to see people are loving it. Brian Fallon and Pianos in back to back weeks makes for some good listening.

I doubt it. I think you’ll get the download the day of release or with the album when it shows up

Same. I think it’s an incredible record that beat my expectations

 

Just got some real bad family news, but made the decision to listen anyway and I'm just fucking devastated by all of this. I dunno how to feel right now. Glad I'm finally getting to listen to this album now though.

 

Agreed, my expectations were pretty huge as well.

On the plus side, at least I can officially say I like Keep You.

every song sounds extremely distinct

what I don't like about the record (yet):
no songs hit me as hard as Repine YET

I would agree with this. But at the same time i think I’ve “enjoyed” my first listened for this more than i did Keep You at the time, even though i loved that one immediately as well
