First listen was pretty good. Not breathtaking on first listen. Keep You was the same. Will need time with this.

 

I think this would have been top 3 with A Black Mile and Turn Out The Lights for me last year

 

I mean first impressions make it seem as good as keep you so really I don’t think anyone who likes that record will think what I said was outrageous.

 

Idk Keep You is one of my favourite albums and I think calling something AOTY or similar after one or two hype filled listens is completely outrageous

 

chills a minute in.

 

The melodies on fake lighting are soo infectious.. hell yes

 

I can already tell the drumming on this record is going to be crazy good.

 

there are things about the mix of the first few songs that I don't really love, but I don't think it takes away from the songs at all. The tones are awesome too. I'm trying not to check out on these two songs that I know pretty well already.

 

Things hit people in different ways. I love Keep You but his album is honestly hitting me harder first listen than that one did.

 

I already love bitter red in context way more. That verse melody just grows and grows on you, makes you feel things. These melodies really hit.

 

And maybe after two weeks you may feel differently. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I just think they're really dumb especially when you're hyped for something. That can cloud judgement

 

I can't wait for the third music video

 

for me its part of the fun, like yea its going to change. but the way you feel about it in that moment it feels good to get that out.

dry spells jesus. these melodies. They are really sticking. My favorite thing about music is a melody that makes you feel things, it can be 3 notes against a specific chord, this band does it so freakin well.

 

going to need the lyrics for this one, vocals are a bit buried at times.

 

shit well here I go. Keep You changed me.

 

I tend to have the opposite reaction when I'm hyped for things, more often than not I am let down.

1 2 on that drum roll is awesome, and the guitar layers are soo cool over it. This album keeps things interesting! Oh and it gets heavy!

 

the drumming on this record is absolutely unreal. It's busy but it fits the songs so well. and lays out when it needs to

 

this band is so freakin talented. i love it. This album is going to push them toward favorite band territory for me

I never realized how good of a drummer he is until i saw them live. I love that it sticks out on this album. It’s really cool
