Wonder Years backlash is almost popular at this point, ban these nerds for misusing the thread

I'm here to fight about whether or not Ringo sucks

I heard two pop punk bros on a train saying the new album sucked like three years ago, there's been a backlash

Yeah that's what I was referencing, it got brought up with a drummer friend the other day. Is Quincy right? Is Quincy just talking shit? Is Quincy technically right but ignoring a lot of the context around his role and how his certain style, tho not technically great by any means especially in comparison to much more gifted jazz drummers, was essential in developing the sound of the Beatles? Is it all about the pocket? I want to get into some takes here

Quincy was a genius and a moron and a card and an out of touch old man all at once.

I agree. And I would further add that it’s in the top 5 of the decade overall. The album is really incredible lyrically and over time I’ve grown to appreciate it even more.

This isn’t controversial so much as it is just insignificant, but Blue Jay Way is a very underrated song by The Beatles. Never hear anyone mention it when they talk about the greats and I think it’s very ahead of its time

    so much for them! Prestigious

magical mystery tour is pretty disjointed (for good reason) but it has so many of my all time favorites from them that its hard for me to say that it's not of my favorite of theirs

  16. The first time I listened to Magical Mystery Tour I was stoned as hell and on one of the songs I said to my friend “dude it feels like I’m flying”. Little did I know, the song was actually titled “Flying”

Hawthorne Heights is a very genuine band that is still capable of good music and deserves more credit than they get these days.

Neck Deep was at their best when they were a "cheap The Story so Far knock-off" (History of Bad Decision/Rain in July) ORIGINAL RELEASE don't get me started on the re-recordings

(wow that felt good I already love this thread)

Pop punk is a good genre full of talented musicians and songwrtiers but I don't listen to the stuff that is considered pop punk on this site.
