oh yeah, it's a fucked up place. I didn't want to eat there but I didn't have to pay for it so whatever. I got some Chinese donuts. all that really matters

 

Chinese and country food or other such variations are the kind of disgusting ideas that pique my interest. It sounds awful....but what if?? High risk / high reward, yknow

 

man I can barely eat at chinese buffets anymore. I know this sounds like i'm making the cliche joke or whatever, but whenever I go to one I'm always like "i've had beef before, this is not beef." I always get skeeved out

 

I just stuck to the Chinese

my friends been living somewhere in China for the last 8 months

restaraunts and street vendors frequently have menu items that do not specify what meat is in the dish. it just says “meat”.

He gets it and knows its not chicken or beef. He says hes 100% sure hes eaten dog and cat before at this point.

 

Transparent is such a good show. Makes me feel less like a trash human.

 

never really understood the horror with which people react to the possibility that it isn't real beef. Like, I get that in the popular horror stories, domesticated animals that we keep as pets are the victims or whatever but I'm pretty sure you can domesticate most animals. Why is the line drawn there specifically? Not saying we should be eating pets or whatever just that those horror stories don't really make sense to me I guess since the line seems arbitrary

 

I mean Ikea served horse and I wouldn't be surprised if Taco Bell does too, I just feel like it's hard to avoid "those wacky foreigners eat weird shit" territory
