What is everyone's favorite scene of all the movies? I'm obsessed with Arwen but this scene gives me chillbumps and is my all time favorite.

That scene is amazing. I love the way she says "COME AND CLAIM HIM". This scene always got a huge cheer because it's also amazing and Eowyn was always my personal favorite in the books:

 

It's been so long since I watched the second and third movies that I can't really claim a favorite scene. I'm going to rewatch them as I finish the books though

 

The ladies are such bosses. The 1st time I saw that scene I yelled (in the theater) Yesssss, Eowyn..right in the kisser!! I went by myself but the whole theater cracked up. I'm glad it was dark bc I was so red afterwards bc I didn't mean to yell it that loud but I got excited.

 

Hahaha, I went to see it with a friend of mine and I definitely remember a chorus of "Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaah" from the crowd. It's my wife's favorite scene too. She always has us rewind it when we watch it again.

 

My favorite scene is definitely the end of The Two Towers where Sam is giving That Speech and it's showing Gandalf leading the victory at Helm's Deel and Faramir Gets It. I tear up every damn time.

 

Sam is definitely the hero of the movies

 

There are a lot of great academic essays postulating just that. For the books, too.

He's my favorite literary character bar none.

 

The first time I finished Return of the King and it ended on Sam's "Well, I'm back" line, it struck me very suddenly how the entire story became Sam's and that maybe it always had been. That last line resonated with me, so when I saw the film in theaters and they adhered to the text by ending on that line it really got me. I was an emotional wreck.

 

The last time I read them, I cried well over fifteen times. It was ridiculous. The smallest things would get me. I.e.: when Merry and Pippin reunite in Gondor. Devastating.

 

I need this tattoo like now.

 

I've considered getting the Evenstar symbol somewhere.

Definitely mine as well. Don't think anything has ever come close to that emotional payoff.
