Snow itself isn't bad, it's the wind. Even when its -20 or -25 C outside, its not awful on its own. It's the wind chill that literally sucks the breath from your lungs and feels like instant frostbite on your face

It’s Tennessee. They freak out over a dusting of snow because nobody besides people raised north like me know how to drive in it haha

 

wind is terrible. I lived in el paso most of my life and it gets like 105 degrees there like half of the summer. rains like 5 days a year and when it's hot and dry and windy it's just blowing sand around and it's terrible.

we have lots of sand, but no beaches.

 

And makes your nostrils stick together. Thats when you know its cold AF.

here's downtown austin, which I never go to because of kids and work and traffic. looks nice.

I've lived here for 4.5 years and I think I've been downtown a total of like 10 times maybe.

 

I’m not even kidding. If the word snow is even in the forecast all the schools close for the next day and everyone buys ALL of the milk, coffee creamer, and bread on the shelves at every grocery store

Outbound logistics for a supply chain company.

Basically we have a warehouse full of Verizon Wireless assets (cell phone site/tower equipment). Engineers order what is needed for site upgrades/troubleshooting in Michigan, Indiana, and Kentucky, and i get it there.

pretty damn easy which is why i get to chat with you fine folk all the time
