Seriously has Delph played recently?

I expect Delph and Rashford to be dropped, and probably Wilshere unless he can prove his fitness. Townsend is shit but at least can provide something slightly different. Surprised Carroll isn't involved as a plan b off the bench.

 

he def played at home for city couple of weeks ago cause he came on and went missing. think it was pellegrini's last match.

edit: no it was the southampton match, he started and I only noticed him when he came off.

 

Glad Wilshere is in, he should be. Take out Delph for Noble, Townsend for Antonio and maybe Rashford for Defoe (but neither will get final squad) and i'dbe happy.

Also bants from Woy saying Theo didn't make it because he barely played recently with Wilshere being in it.

No chance, Hart's comfortably the better keeper. Not sure why he's so maligned, by a long distance the best keeper England have produced since big Dave.

Wilshere probably should too, but when he's fit, he's undoubtedly one of our best players.

 

I'd be more inclined to cut Henderson over Wilshere. At least Jacky Boy has played well for England before.

Delph has performed very solidly for England. If he is fully fit, he's worth having along.

I'm baffled by Sterling though. He's been pretty abject this year.

I presume Townsend is there because he's less predictable than Walcott. In that, Walcott is predictably shit most of the time.

 

Either way you look at it, we have two great keepers to pick from. Better than when we had to pick between a 400,000 year old David James, Rob Green and Scott Carson....

 

So it seems we offered Zlatan a one year deal. He wants assurances about the club and new manager before signing.

 

Yeah, as much as I kind of dislike Delph at this point and as much as I'm sure there's a bunch of other players who deserve to be there ahead of him, I think I wouldn't be against him being in the final squad. I wouldn't start him ahead of any of the other midfielders but I feel like he could be a good impact player at a tournament.
