I disagree. All the teams with good QBs compete. Yeah they have holes and lose other key players but it often doesn’t matter, because you shouldnt pay a QB stupid money unless he can carry a 70% strength team to the playoffs.

The only important thing is, don’t pay a guy that isn’t worth it.

Aside from a few exceptions like Rivers, basically every QB from Matt Ryan’s talent level upward has been to a Super Bowl.

Tom Brady, 15th.

That's the thing. Almost every one above them isn't worth it. Rodgers, Wilson, and Brady are the only three QBs who should get the blank check treatment. If you don't have an MVP or a SB MVP and you want 22mil+ then you should walk.

Even then, Rodgers, when fully healthy, is the best QB out there and he has one SB. Why? Because a QB can lead you to the playoffs but he can't lead you to a Super Bowl victory. That is a full team thing. Something that a team like the Lions or Raiders will struggle to afford.
