i think social media gives people an unnecessarily negative outlook on humanity. people interact on facebook in a manor that you would never actually be like in real life. you go on facebook and its so easy to think "the world is going to shit" but in reality, i dont think it is. i think there is a lot of good out there. its just there is this platform where people can say whatever they want and they dont actually act like the people they really are when theyre face to face with someone.

and some will argue "well then arnt they showing their true self".... and i say, no. we all have bad thoughts about people. but what is a fleeting thought? its just a thought. thinking something and behaving that way are two totally different things, but i think facebook makes it seem like people behave in a way they actually dont. i think 75% of political arguments over the internet, if those arguments were between two people face to face, they could walk away from it not hating the other person.

i liked it at first when it was just simple. i don't even remember what it looked like back then though. it became really invasive

I need to figure out how to perma-delete my facebook because it's been deactivated for years but I think I need to actually put in a request to delete it.
