I wouldn't call the record a failure at all. It has nods to all eras of blink. They kinda teased "California" has nods to different eras too.

Tom has a black Hurley shirt in The Rock Show video and in some promo shots for TOYPAJ, but it was all Atticus after that

 

Joke songs are fine, I guess. Only issue I have, is sonically they sound cool. Imagine if they got fleshed out and made into full songs with serious lyrics? Always thought same about Tom's "Golden Showers In The Golden State" demo.

 

"Golden Showers" is basically the same as "The Rock Show".

 

Kind of sounds like an ALL song too in the intro .

 

I love this. Like, it's honestly better having Matt who can play the songs correctly and sing in tune than having the Tom, THE GUY WHO WROTE THE SONGS, do neither of those things.

 

Yeah, I'm fully in on Skiba in blink. If they want to do a full set of Tom-only songs I wouldn't even care lol. Even if Matt doesn't totally fit on a couple songs, the trade-off of actually playing the songs competently is so worth it.

 

I would prefer if they play more Mark songs but the thing I'm bothered most by is that First Date is still in the set! I don't think it's ever been pulled off live, even with Skiba. They have such a large catalog to replace that song.

 

This song still rules.

 

Yeah in general it's probably in the bottom ten of songs I would prefer to see live.

 

if they took it off the setlist, i probably wouldn't even notice it. i wouldn't miss that song at all, haha.

 

I would kill The Rock Show well before First Date. I mean, I would throw the Rock Show to the ground and stomp the life out of it if I could.

Obviously they can't nix First Date though. I'm with you on this, but the song became so popular that casual concert-goers are going to be expecting it. I'm sure the band would prefer to skip it as well, but they're cursed with it.

 

Oh man. Every time I hear that chorus I die a little inside. There are some wonderful songs being left behind while that monster lives.

 

Yeah so that VR video posted a page or so ago was awesome. Sound quality a little off, but so cool to watch

The first two songs, while overplayed, still hold up in my opinion.

 

Anyone else a bit bothered by the fact that Matt sings all the high vocals on the live version of Bored to Death (I mean the choruses)? Mark only sings the low harmonies His high vocals sound so good on the recording!

 

Kill the Rock Show, bring it back to life, and kill it again.
Marry All The Small Things - It's got longevity, and with the money from it i'd be set for life.
Fuck First Date. Good song every now and then. Nice to have a flirtation with when i'm taking a break from Untitled.
