That Marmozets record is incredible.

 

The lenght for me has been the main obstacle. I prefer the Mimicking Birds record over it but both are good and compliment each other well. Not surprising that they are touring together right now.

 

Agreed. I listened to it at least 6 times for my review on CMCS and it felt like I was running a marathon listening to it at times.

 

Was a band from Nashville that wasnt around for very long but I tremendously enjoyed them. If you want to check them out their s/t EP and album Dialog are well worth your time. The other release they have is the EP Thieves which was released when they were called Keating. On streaming services it eventually got added under Paper Rival. Their vocalist is probably in my top ten favorites of all time.

Honestly, I get the raw songwriting appeal, but to my delicate ears that ain't music. Without any cadence or rhythm detectable, its spoken word poetry over sloppy fingerpicking

 

I can't believe this year will have new Pianos, new La Dispute, new mewithoutYou and new Thrice.
