They will just yell and scream if I did that. I am trying to sedate them into a nap.

Kids talk during any sort of dialogue or dramatic scene and become enraptured for action scenes. It actually explains why a lot of modern movies are the way they are.

Movies I brought for the children today:

LEGO Movie, Jurassic World, Avengers 2, Space Jam, Minions, Inside Out, Frozen, Ant-Man, Star Wars 7, Spongebob 2. I have seen the dinosaurs, lightsabers, and Inside Out, but which one of the rest will be least painful?

Frozen is amazing if you can get past everybody belting out Let It Go.

I like all those to a degree. Lego Movie is great, Frozen is great, Minions was fun if you like slapstick, Ant Man is good but you won't like it, Avengers 2 is the most average Marvel movie. I don't remember the second Spongebob movie at all.

I really did not like Lego movie tbh. I was excited for it too.

Here's what I watched this weekend:

    Visions
    Would You Rather?
    Goosebumps
    Deadpool

Would You Rather? and Visions are pretty typical horror/thriller fare, I enjoyed them for what they were but probably wouldn't watch them again.

Goosebumps was great seeing all of the monsters/creatures/things I grew up reading on the screen and was actually a decent premise.

Deadpool was pretty good, it was different than what I expected but I still enjoyed it quite a bit. Hoping DP2 will be better.

I love the Lego Movie and Inside Out a lot more than all those other movies. I like Frozen too and Avengers 2 was alright sometimes.

Applebee's is completely inoffensive; some vaguely Mexican dishes along with general American fare, but the entire thing is without a lasting taste. You will go there with your boring friends but it will never be memorable.

Just wanted to post this here in case anyone that's interested might not have seen it. We've got the film club going on and just started week 3. Definitely looking for more people to join in. Chorus Film Club • forum.chorus.fm

Really don't see why this is getting such average reviews in all honesty, granted it isn't perfect or as strong as the previous one and has a few cliches but I don't think it deserves the kind of reviews it is getting which are putting it on par with Last Stand. Firstly I think the whole setup is done really well and the score is equally rousing, beautiful and epic in its own right. The action is really good with plenty of spectacle though somewhat lacking on the hand to hand combat which Civil War did brilliantly. I think the cast were solid playing the younger versions of characters we have already seen and return cast members once again put in really good performances which do not get lost in all the action. The humor is still there and works really well and even though the villain is somewhat cliched that doesn't make him any less menacing or less of a worthy foe. One thing that does stand out for me is how violent it is (heads getting cut off, a high body count and plenty of blood) and granted it isn't graphic but way more violent than we have become used too.

Applebee's is a pretty good place to drink on a budget in the suburbs though
