Having never played before, today I start Dragons Dogma on the PS4.

 

Both are ok, they're worth it for $20 or less

 

Played about 1.5 hours of Gears 4. It's already the best Gears I've played and absolutely gorgeous. Man, the Coalition are wizards...

Traded in my Xbox one S, PS4 (with defect disc reader), and a few games. Put it all toward a 1tb PS4 slim and didn’t have to pay a dime for it.

The original was/is one of my favorite games of all time. I absolutely loved it when it came out (2008 I think). Memorizing levels and fastest lines is a blast.

The sequel is okay. You would think the open world would be a great concept for the gameplay, but I never got the same rush as I did with the original. Perfecting runs was a huge part of the original, the sequel's world is bland and stale in comparison. Combat on the other hand is better, but it's more fun to avoid combat then to actually fight, so improving combat isn't such a difference.

Question on xbox game pass. if I cancelled my subscription, but want to renew now; do I have to re-download all the games I already downloaded? will they continue at my last save in games?

 

You will probably have to redownload them. As far as saves go, it should be stored in the cloud.

Yeah, unless you delete them yourself they should stay downloaded. Saves should be in the cloud so pick up where you left off.

I have spent 4-5 hours with Gears of War 4. I am about half way through the campaign.

And this is game is blowing me away. As someone who always been "eh" on the series - the story is really holding my attention, it is fun/fast and slow/thoughtful. Looks absolutely amazing, plays great, and keeps you on your toes with new enemies or mechanics.

I can 100% see myself playing through this again on a harder difficulty in co-op. I have not stopped having fun with it once.
