Guess I missed out on DC tickets

 

Yes Chicago folks! I'm going alone so say hi to me!

 

I'll be making the drive from Jersey!

 

Also going to the Chicago show, gonna make a wild guess and say I think it's going to be fun

 

I managed to score a pair of tickets to the Chicago show as well. I'm stoked!

 

See y’all in Chicago. I’m driving in solo that day and staying at a hotel that night, so if anyone wants to meet up lemme know.

 

Would def be down to grab pre or post show drinks

If they add a Jersey show I'm probably going to do that one instead though. Or maybe both

If we're getting technical, I'm in the burbs too. But I don't argue semantics at this point when it comes to malort because that stuff is a delicacy.

Get Hurt is Brian Fallon's Temple of Doom. Darker. Greatly influenced by main creative(s) divorce. Maligned by a large part of the public. Definitely different, still f---ing awesome.

 

I still absolutely love Get Hurt

 

Get Hurt has grown on me. Dark Places and Have Mercy are incredible.

 

Those two songs are great, but also for me, the only great songs on that album

 

Get Hurt definitely has it's moments where it stumbles (Stray Paper, Red Violins, the "I heard about a woman once.." line, etc.) but overall it's still a solid album. "Helter Skeleton" "Rollin' and Tumblin'" and "Dark Places" are all on my marathon training playlist at the moment.

 

I think those are the only songs that stand up to the highlights on the previous three albums, but there's some other good songs on there.

 

Selected Poems is one of my favorite Fallon songs.

 

I will die on the "Stray Paper is a prototypical Gaslight song you dorks" hill.

Also, the title track on Get Hurt is fucking great as well.
