I loved the trailer they did for TGG and this one gets me just as hyped! The accompanying book sounds neat too.

Yea that’s not too far away of a date at all. Some album rollouts are like 5-6 months.

i like the song in the teaser, or the parts i can hear at least, and im getting flashbacks to the TGG rollout.

Wow the first time I listen to this bad boy will be on Parahoy then so we are already set up for success. Do we think those coordinates are all for shows they are playing? Or did they just post the fliers up there?

Almost certainly. Not venues specifically but definitely locations. One of them is in Dublin very close to where Button Factory is.

 

They're all posted in major cities around the world, I think it's mostly to go along with the concept of the record.

 

Definitely got the same chill down my spine watching that that I got when I first heard the end of There, There in the TGG trailer

The New York one is incredibly close to bowery ballroom, which is a little small for them but not unreasonable for them to play

 

Yea I'm kind of leaning towards maybe not necessarily shows? But are they major cities outside Europe/US? Cus don't we already know they're planning a European tour? Idk the Chicago coordinates were right be Subterranean which is too small for them, but I feel like them starting an album cycle in small rooms is not unusual. I'll have to be patient I guess haha

 

Hearing Dan explain the album concept like that as that clip plays makes me want to skip all the singles

 

The locations are not specifically venues. They're locations of where these posters are hung up. They each have a letter for the password. Which of course their IT guy did a laughably bad job of hiding it on their website so someone just cracked it without even having to hunt the posters down lol.

 

Like, these are cities that they would conceivably play in on their upcoming tours, but that is definitely not the intention of this ARG, is what I meant. It was supposed to be an exercise in people all over the world working together to solve a problem, although the password in the source code ruined it.

 

source code spoilers happen all the time for much larger projects, i think it was doomed to begin with. cool idea tho

 

But I mean I think they've all been pretty close to venues, so why would they only pick venues to hang them? Although I guess it would make sense cus it'd be easier for them to contact people at a venue to hang these up than random parts of these cities. It's probably just wishful thinking cus I'd love to see them at a small venue again.
