These dudes just don't stop. Looking forward to this.

 

There are few bands that have released as many bangers as weezer. There are also few bands that have released as many stinkers as weezer.

Hoping the black album can put a dent in the ratio

 

Hopefully they stick to the Black motif and actually turn out some darker, more personal stuff. Doubt it, but have hope nonetheless.

 

Yessss thank fuck. Hopefully it’s still mostly similar to what Jake Sinclair heard when working on White.

White was easily the best =w= album since Pink. Not saying there aren’t good songs here and there, but White was the most consistently good front to back.

Idk why Rivers insisted on releasing Pacific Dream so much. He recoiled so hard from White being a hit with “real” Weezer fans. He really is his own worst enemy. Pacific isn’t even THAT bad, it’s just the least memorable thing they’ve ever released IMO.

I've been so pleasantly surprised by their last three releases I'm excited for anything they do. White is really making a push for my top 3 or 4 Weezer records.

 

Didn't like the last one but loved EWBAITE and White. Def curious to hear this.

 

White is probably my favorite Weezer album ever. Not afraid to say it. PD is a favorite too

 

With Pacific Daydream I can say there’s finally an album that gives Maladroit a run for its money as least favorite.

Fuck. Maladroit. :D

 

I can get not liking Maladroit but you realize Raditude exists, right?

 

I actually can't get thinking Maladroit is the worst, makes no sense at all

 

Maladroit may be the 2nd best Weezer album

 

TIL people actually listen to Hurley

 

Hurley is good

 

I've never actually listened to raditude or Hurley in full.

 

Hurley and Raditude are absolutely awful, definitely worse albums. But I can at least remember them. I’ll never forget how horrid they are.

But Mala? I dunno there’s just nothing real to it for me. Like Rivers barely tried. But hey, the Mala sessions produced Sandwiches Time, and that’s the real gift.

 

Hurley is underrated, that is all

 

cmon Raditude was the lowlight of the 21st century. Clearly the worst... By a generous margin.

 

Idr who produced it or engineered it or whatever but the sound mix on that album in particular is horrendous. I don’t know if it’s possible to listen to Time Flies and not have your ears bleed.
