I wonder how much Skiba is on this? So far he's on half of Bored to Death and Mark sings the other two songs we know.

Id like to think 60/40 Hopp/skeeb

What was the last one 60/40 Tom/Hopp
    Was completely 50/50 until then

To throw in something positive about "Brohemian Rhapsody," the guitar sounds like something you'd hear from Blink before Tom became obsessed with "soundscapes."

That riff sounds fucking dope. Kind of wish it would've gone into a real song...

Yeah I guess I'm weird here but I thought "built this pool" was, or at least could be, taken as much more offensive than this latest one. Built This Pool is clearly going for the "huh huh he wants to see naked dudes, and he's a dude himself, huh huh" thing, while this one just seems to be putting a semi-humorous twist on a common saying. It's much more ambiguous too, IMO. Probably just my naive innocence shining through (hah!), but I didn't get the same vibe from the lyric everyone else seems to be getting.

Meh. I was never big into the joke or gross-out lyrics anyway, so I could have done without them on the album.

Any blink songs that have NEVER been played live?

Yeah, I more or less agree. I wasn't opposed to the joke songs before or anything, but I think now it's apparent that these songs don't have the same entertainment value that they had 15 years ago. I heard this one and was immediately like, "Eh, times have changed." I'll end up skipping them just like I do with all of the jokes songs now.

I think untitled was more like 60/40 or 65/35 Tom. Mark only has Go and Letter as his solo songs and then either splits with Tom or does backing vocals.

Pretty disappointed with Brohemian Rhapsody, I'm not against joke type songs (I'm totally cool with Built This Pool) but this just feels like it's in poor taste. Cringy joke aside, still not a fan of this as the album closer. I still have high hopes for the album but Brohemian Rhapsody is disappointing

8 from Neighborhoods, When I Was Young and Pretty Little Girl are ones I know for sure were not played.

Also are there any official names for the 2 untitled tracks on Demo #2?

    Early Days

EDIT: Someone posted the demo on youtube with I'm assuming fake names?

Has the first one listed as "Every Time" and the other one as "Leave Me Alone"

I know I have seen videos of Wrecked Him. Not sure about Zulu, though.

I am not in a position to listen to the podcast for a couple days, why does Jason say the label hates and blacklisted the site? He's always seemed to have a good relationship with blink

FUCKIN SAVAGES IN THAT FUCKIN BOX Prestigious

I believe cause he posted the lyric video when their management accidentally posted it on youtube the day before it was supposed to be released and he wouldn't remove the news post about it.

Basically they got angry that he posted a news article about "Bored to Death" leaking on the band's official site (sounds insane). As if the song hadn't already spread like wildfire 5 minutes after the band's own management screwed up and that taking the news post down would have done anything to prevent it.

The song leaking by way of a mess up from the official site was newsworthy enough to warrant a post anyways, I think. I still don't really understand what the big deal was, but it seems like they just wanted someone to yell at.

    I'm flailing now.

I am just wondering where we draw the line on songs? Do we protest past discographies? Dysentery, Snake Charmer, so many off of Dude Ranch, The Party Song, I won't be home for Christmas, Happy Holidays, etc. Personally, I will still keep listening to them and the new songs until I hear them and the album as a whole and then I will feel I can make an opinion.

Am I am asshole for understanding that some songs aren't probably appropriate, but still enjoy them for their nostalgia? If I listen to Blink at my home and still enjoy the "funny" songs and know that I am an adult and don't bring them up at work am I still ok? Not a trump voter here.

You can listen to whatever you want, man. Don't let anyone tell you how to feel about music.

I am not. It was a more rhetorical statement. Long winded at that.

Finest Quality Crappy Punk Rock Since '92 Prestigious

So as some of you know I was on vacation in Vegas this week, an annual trip with a big group of friends and family.

Unfortunately, I lost my aunt who I was sharing a room with last night around 3:30 in the morning. Today has been the hardest day of my life.

Reading this thread (even the disagreements) today has been the distraction that I've needed, and I've been listening to a lot of Blink to try to ease the pain.

I don't know why I'm posting this, I guess I just need to vent before I can get home to the rest of my family, but I just wanted to say how much I appreciate being able to turn to this community, and this thread in particular.

I know we've disagreed quite a bit in this thread but shit I'm sorry for your loss. I hope you're doing alright and we do appreciate you.
