I'm holding off on Celeste until after Night in the Woods and Owlboy. Really excited to play it but I've been waiting for those other two for so long. All three are experiences I really want to completely focus on. I need a break from Celeste level difficulty after playing Enter the Gungeon for the last month... which I still haven't beat.

 

This is pretty cool. Project Octopath Traveler developers took the feedback from the demo and have been working on making improvements. Square Enix putting a lot of care into making this game something special.

 

That is a really good development team

 

I have zero and I have no idea how to get them. :/

 

You get one for beating each B-side, so that's how I got 3 of the 4 I have. If you remember in Chapter 1 there's a TV flashing colors and birds flying a bunch of directions. Each bird correlates with a color on the tv. Follow the color sequence on the tv and dash in the direction of each corresponding bird and you'll get the crystal. I have no clue how to get the other ones haha

 

There's one in Chapter 3.... or 4 that's the Super Mario Bros 3 secret trick where you go into the background layer. That's the one only I know of

 

I saw that white block but I don't know what to do with it! Chapter 4

Gods & Glory Revealed! Christmas Wrap! Switchy-stuff!

No release date yet but It will be out on Switch before the third and final content pack that they just announced. That has an "early 2018" release date. Running 60 fps on Switch. They've cleaned up the game so much in the development process of porting that they'll actually be updating and improving the other versions in the next month or so. Given Switch is their priority they must be very close to wrapping it up.

 

Anyone else find Celeste a lot harder in handheld mode? Might have to just play it on the TV. Or maybe I just got rusty from not playing it for a few days. Or picked it up right before a difficulty spike was Right after you clear out all the boxes in Chapter 3 and I feel like I was way less consistent hitting the moves I needed to to get through the next few rooms than I was hitting similar moves while on the TV.

 

I only play in handheld so idk, can say I've cleared the first five b-sides so it's definitely viable but there could definitely be more optimal controls

 

I really want to pick up Celeste but I'm currently trying to buy a house and have to wait. I hate being an adult sometimes.

 

Every time I set Celeste down to grab a drink or reply to a text, I always without fail press A thinking its jump and usually dash straight off a cliff

 

Really trying to not get anything until Hollow Knight and Owlboy but I really wanna see what all this NItW buzz is about

 

I constantly do that. It’s tough with any game, where A isn’t jump haha

 

With that being said, I’m glad to see a bunch of Celeste love. I really wasn’t expecting to love this game as much as I do.

 

I wish I had your discipline. I accidentally spend $20 when I go to the bathroom at work. Maybe that's why I don't own a house.

havent picked up any new (n)indies for the switch but hollow knight is gonna be my jam.

I may have been an idiot and bought the $40 vinyl from The Matches though. Not telling the wife.
