The funny thing about the Turkish fans burning their stadium down is they only need a 1-0 win and hope the team in 16th lose to survive on the last day.

Today sucked. One of the all-time Spursiest Spurs performances.

I'm holding out hope that this was all part of Poch's master plan to get Levy to OK spending a shit ton of money on midfield/forward depth next year, along with convincing Arsenal to keep Wenger for yet another year.

As an Arsenal fan I think Spurs have played far better football all season and deserve to finish above us. But it's a mental problem, something we've struggled to get over and I think Spurs will have an even bigger problem doing so. Finishing below Arsenal for 21 years is incredibly difficult to suddenly break, and the way Pochettino manages his teams - to get them really hyped and giving everything - means when things start to not go their way (which admittedly has been rare especially this second half of the season) things start to fall apart.

For me, I can only see Spurs either winning the league next season or fading back down to below the top 4. But guess we'll see.

^ that could become pretty awkward if Roma and Tottenham end up in the same group next year. But also, top bantz.

Today was weird. The first goal went in and the stadium went nuts, but then the match fell very flat. Around the area I was in, there were tons of people just shouting out the Tottenham updates and that was getting a better reaction than an admittedly poor match.

Villa steadied themselves a little but we still could have scored 5-6 before halftime. Sanchez wasted a chance or two. Ozil did a Walcott and let a 50/50 go, but with the Euros coming up, I don't blame him. And then Wilshere should have buried his chance. Up front, Villa looked to have potential actually, but not enough bite. Jordan Ayew is a good player and I'd like to see him join Andre at Swansea, I think he's a step up from Gomis. Sinclair, Gil and Carlos Sanchez are also good and will probably all get new clubs.

That said, our defence still looks dodgy, and we need a new CB to partner Kos because Gabriel just doesn't quite have enough to be a regular in a title challenging side, and Per is old & slow and gets exploited. Midfield looked solid, and Cazorla coming back to partner Coquelin was brilliant to see again. Wilshere was bright but obviously lacking fitness, will be interesting to see if he gets game time for England before the Euros. Xhaka seems to be leaving Gladbach so that's a good sign, if we get him I think he's what we need really.

Giroud scoring a hat-trick basically means that Wenger has an excuse not to get a striker though, which is worrying. I'd really like to get Lacazette or maybe Batshuayi.

Feel bad for Spurs finishing third, they've been great this season, but go am I happy after the shit they've given us lately.

On loan still, from us, and I think he'll be our number two next year. Ospina wants to leave and play first team and Wenger thinks Szczesny has a lot of potential.

After his treatment last season doubt Wenger sees a future for Szczesny. Reckon he'll go on loan again and when Koeman comes in season after become #1 maybe

For sure. Even though Spurs still collapsed at the end, this season felt far different than previous ones. There's tons of talent, and it doesn't look like any of it is going to leave. We have a new stadium coming and a owner that looks more willing to spend what is required to compete. I'm hopeful that Spurs have a similar season next year as Premier League contenders and have a respectable showing in the Champions League. Would be nice to become a CL regular.

Be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

Was nice to see Howard bid farewell with a clean sheet today. I know quite a few people who got involved with the EPL, and more particularly Everton, because of Howard.

  16. EPL is going to be very exciting next season. I expect Liverpool to heavily challenge for top 4. Chelsea will bounce back. Pep should improve City. Arsenal has potential to win the league with a couple upgrades. United is a wildcard because no one really know what direction they plan on going, but they have some potential. Leicester is also a wildcard to me. It seems they'll be keeping majority of the team together but it'll be interesting to see how they do with league and cups games. I think a big advantage for them was not having mid-week games for most of the season. As for Spurs, I think we'll make a couple signings to provide depth. Hopefully this awful finish doesn't mess with the players mindset going into next season.

In short, I think we'll see higher quality teams in the coming seasons. Should be fun.

The top end of the league has been utter shit for years now, heres to hoping the top 6-7 teams strengthen like they should this summer.

Portsmouth (remember them?) have missed out on the league 2 play off final after losing 3-2 on aggregate to Plymouth.

In 24 hours time Wednesday will be playing the second leg of our semi away at Brighton, defending a 2 goal lead. I'm shitting my self already.

    Not an entertaining game.

I guess we have to start somewhere, 3 points is always good, but I shouldn't be so surprised that we picked up a win at home. That used to be a given.
