Arsenal now have probably the two fastest players in world football in Bellerin and Aubameyang, along with several others with decent pace - Wenger would be a moron if he didn't tinker with tactics/formations and play more counter attacking to utilize that pace.

 

ya in part i mean it looks bad for everton from a scouting pov, klassen flopping and ending up playing well somewhere like napoli is very predictable. it's as if everton just said good players, buy now without a thought toward team building

Haha - I remember between 2003-2005/6 Arsenal played ridiculously fast football, like there'd be a turnover in possession on the edge of their own box and they'd score 7 seconds later, people would be like "uhhhh, what?". Friend of mine saw them play against Charlton and said it was just lightning quick in person - would be incredibly cool if they tried playing like that again because Auba, Mhiki, Lacazette, Welbeck, Bellerin all have natural ability to play in that way. Ozil supplying them with outrageous through-balls would be a sight to see.

 

It’s a shame Arsenal don’t have a defensive midfielder worth a damn to actually play that way. A Busquets/Casemiro/Matic Xhaka is not.
