yesssss god I love Toni Collette

hell my girlfriend was even intrigued by the trailer and she haaates horror movies

 

tangentially related, i finally saw Dunkirk, and if Hans Zimmer doesn't win an Oscar for that score...shit's rigged for real.

I cannot get over this Mark Salling thing. It's seriously haunting me. Here's a good posting that I agree with for the most part:
"Anyone who starts off their sympathetic bullshit on here with anything along the lines of "what he did to the children was wrong BUT" needs to seek professional help. In all of your quests to show sympathy for him you have all forgotten about the children that suffered for his enjoyment. I see all of this regurgitated "he who is without sin may cast the first stone" bullshit on here as if people are not above judging a PEDOPHILE simply because they're not perfect. Look, we all make mistakes. But not all of us make mistakes that even remotely carry the same weight as what he did. Not even cumulatively. Joseph Stalin had a family. He had a mother who cared for him. Adolf Hitler was human too. Should we in anyway not be glad those evil fucks are dead just because some people are sad they're dead? It's just beyond fucked up you all have more sympathy for an evil person because he's famous and played a fictional character you liked than the thousands of kids who had to suffer for his amusement. His family's feeling are the last thing that should be mentioned right now when those kids he viewed in those videos are probably still suffering right now. What about their families? literally none of you showing sympathy are even acknowledging this.. And it's sad and sickening."

 

i'm not 100% sure how her doll making will fit into this story, but for me it really adds to the creep factor. dolls are weird.

I'm trying to temper my expectations, but it looks fantastic. Trailers can be so misleading though so, we'll see.

 

100%. I've been burned way too much to be all in on anything and I hate to say it because it's kind of become a thing but I have faith in A24 and will check out pretty much anything they release

 

@thesoftskeleton everything okay with your purse?

 

it hasn't happened yet but when that studio finally puts out more than one dud in a row, I think there will be an unwarranted backlash against it
