City have pumped so much money into their academy. Spent a LOT of money convincing young players to sign with them over other clubs, giving parents jobs, houses and other benefits. They have a manager who "loves youth" surely they can promote someone from the academy or youth teams to fill the bench in that position? No?

I just don't get it, why do they need Mahrez?

 

set favourite club to United, set favourite person to me. Declare interest in the player and wait for the transfer request for that real cheating realism

 

My friends who play it get livid when I tell them I use the editor lmao - "thats not how the game is supposed to be played" while their sat there like lemons trying and failing to get a load of dumbasses like Leeds to adapt to a slick passing, Barca type tactic while I just click 'maximise tactical familiarity' on a reckless 2-3-3-2 formation and actually win games! Too much effort to play it without having a laugh with the editor.

I do both. Because I find both fun. Generally I've two games going at once, one if I really fucking hate myself and want to do a normal game and then another with a different club and just go crazy. When I'm into FM I find I play one game or the other depending on my mood.

 

I just can't get into it atm - started at least 10 games since buying FM18 and have made it through pre-season once. Just can't find a team to stick with, am Genoa atm just about to start the first games of the season - guarantee i'll have deleted it after 3 games in.

 

I don't really have the time anymore. The last one I played I think I was with Brentford. Did well enough.

I think my next real game will be with Mallorca in the Segunda Division 2. Because I hate myself . I've never been able to get a team promoted fairly in Spain, so that's gonna be awful.

 

Apparently City will have 8 first team players that cost over 50m in their squad if they sign Mahrez.

It’s kinda crazy how this current class of La Masia has Sergi Roberto and then a gargantuan drop in quality. Munir is probably next best, I guess.

i don't think sandro is a bad player, as he showed last season. same w/ klassen. i think their failures are much worse reflections on everton than them

 

I don't think either suit the premier league, Everton have been awful yeah, but they've been individually very poor.

Seems Batsuayi is off to Dortmund, Aubameyang to Arsenal and Giroud to Chelsea. Weird merry-go-round there. If Dortmund could get Batsuayi permanently I think they might get the best of that.

 

West Brom seem to be quietly doing some good business. It's almost like if you run your club properly, you can make a decent fist of competing.
