Does Travis <ALWAYS> give 300% when banging the hell out of the drums.. good god!

 

Probably the best video thus far. Mark adds "Highlights" by Kanye into the bridge.

 

Have gone back to the old 5 arrowed smily it seems then, going from the end of that video.

Sounds good, Matts benefitted from spending time in the band.

 

Lol Higlights sounds awesome there. I still hear that vanilla ice song every time I listen to dammit

 

Second "joke" song in, second bad song.

 

I haven't watched a ton of live Blink because I've heard for so long that it isn't really their strong suite, but damn Travis's kit sounds so fucking good, even in these terrible cell phone videos.

Bored to Death didn't sound great in the video posted above but I'm still stoked for the album. Is it July yet? All of these quick announce-release cycles have spoiled me.

 

It's much easier to hear the difference between Mark and Matt live but damn Mark didn't sound great in that Bored to Death video...

Still looks like a fun show!

 

It just bugs me that they had so much material and decided to put those two lame songs on the record.

This is worse than "Built This Pool", which I've grown to accept. Hate to think "Brohemian Rhapsody" will always be the last impression when I listen to California from front to back.

Just remember that you guys can remove the joke songs from the record when you add it to iTunes or whatever you use to listen to music.

 

Yeah, I don't care that they used "joke songs" because I'll just end up skipping/removing them, but the fact they used them in favor of real songs that they had is pretty lame. At least there's talk of an Ep with more songs in the future.

 

I mean there's 14 full length songs, that's alot these days. If the two joke songs weren't there I'm sure it would still be 14. It's not like 30 seconds of joking forced any real songs off a record of mostly sub-3 minute songs.

 

Yeah but both songs are like 20 seconds long. Adding 2 real songs takes up an additional 6-7 minutes on the record.

I'm not saying I wouldn't love to hear as many other blink songs as possible, because I definitely would. But I'm not looking at this like they chose not to include serious songs because they added joke ones instead.

 

Thought they sounded pretty good in those Feeling This and Dammit videos

 

Hey man, you, @Brandon Allin and myself can all be buds. However, Brandon will probably be a giant EDM and dub step fan after being in Las Vegas for a few day and move on from us. Perhaps he'll return to us one day when he is off the scrips and Molly.

 

I don't mind them making up joke songs but I'd rather they just had them as B sides for singles rather than putting them on the album (even if they can be taken off on itunes or whatever).

 

The band I fell in love with always had joke songs and songs with goofy lyrics, and I never fell out of love with that band. Bring them on.

Come on. The first joke song is a goofy little thing the guy wrote 5 or 6 years ago. They are not pandering to anyone.

 

While I'm not saying joke songs are inherently a problem, anyone who's heard Splinter or Days Go By by The Offspring will be able to tell you how they can undermine an otherwise really good album. I really hope that doesn't turn out to be the case with blink.
