People keep giving my roommate and I stuff. It's very convenient. Got a crockpot and Ninja. It's a shitty Ninja, but it works.

Crock Pot was the best cooking purchase I've made. It's so fun and easy to cook with, so much you can do with it. I also just love the idea that while I'm bored at work dinner is at home cooking.

I bought mine for like $8 at Goodwill. It was in good condition, just gave it a good cleaning before I started using it.

When money is tight it really sucks that the things you need most cost as much as your utility bills combined :-/

I love crockpots for the simple fact that you can just dump a bunch of stuff together and it will never turn out inedible.

It freaked me out because in New Jersey I could spit and land on 5 Wal Marts, 4 Targets, and 600 Dunkin Donuts. Out here the closest Dunkin Donuts is 30 minutes away, I have 1 Target that's less than 20 minutes away, and no Wal Marts in sight. there are a lot of differences I wasn't anticipating. But I think it's more the difference between small town and city.

They're so fucking easy. Magic. You just put stuff inside it and don't touch it? Magical.

We sell one at BBB that stirs for you. Now that is magic.

BBB scares me because there's so much stuff that I don't need but can find a way to justify buying

  8. No shit about Dunkin. It's even worse in New England, even away from cities. Hard to complain though

@Wharf Rat I miss it so much. For the same price as a tall latte at Starbucks, I could get a coffee with a flavor shot or swirl, and a bagel or donut. Possibly two donuts depending on what coffee I get.

The other major thing about LA that's been odd to me is that none of the banks have drive-up ATMs

I made this awesome 7 layer taco dish in a crock pot one time. It was excellent.

I always feel bad after eating glazed donuts, dunno why that is.

There are random sketchy donut places everywhere in LA. There is a Krispy Kreme but it's about 25 minutes away in a direction I very rarely go in. They put a DD about 10 minutes from my practice space, but I'm leaving that practice space in 2 weeks so it'll no longer be close. They put one in Hollywood but Hollywood is, as a general rule, always inconvenient

Another thing to remember is liners. I'm lazy and hate hand washing dishes, so before I started buying liners I would leave the dirty put sitting out for days. Was not a good look

Re: Dunkin Donuts, I live in a pretty commercial area but I only know where one is

I'm glad I don't have to deal with those scenarios. I only get donuts from KK if the hot and ready light is on baha

We have a local donut shop, but the guy only shows up every once in a while to make them. It's weird.

Yeah, they are real good. He doesn't announce when they are open either, you just see his car there and then you know.
