It's not like any of the current girls can cut it on the mic, though. Outside of Alexa, most of them usually stumble through. Charlotte's improved a great deal, but most of them are pretty average anyways.

 

My one small issue with the rumble is that did they blow through too many of their women legends in the first rumble.

They legit did everyone...but what about next year and the year after that etc

 

Hopefully they have consistently 25-30 main roster wrestlers

 

Victoria, Ivory, Stacy, Sable, Gail Kim, Kharma, AJ Lee...

 

Does Charlotte vs Ronda main event Mania?

 

For those saying Ronda was destroyed in her last fights and all that, you could say the same about Brock when he came back. But they were still able to build him back up.

Now obviously he was already a proven wrestler so it’s not completely the same. But they still cashed in on him being a UFC champion and never acknowledged his losses really.

It’s on Ronda now to make it work. Let’s see what happens.

Bayleys weak, but Becky and Sasha are solid on the mic, and yet where are they now? One of them probably wont make the WM card, way things are going. Part of me thinks im more likely to see Becky in LA on September 1st than I am on a WWE roster

No. Brock/Roman is that, and will always be that, and short of one of them dying nothing will top that. Tonight made that as clear as ever.

 

I think they should do ronda vs Alexa and Charlotte vs Asuka at this Mania. If she signed a multi year deal you can save the charlotte match a little bit. Give her time to hopefully make that a better match. Plus I’m sure she’s gonna be on raw. They can’t have the big star on the “b show”

 

Charlotte/Asuka is also a hell of a matchup

 

Thats a tall order. Even so people like rumble for the returns and you've left yourself with basically no one. Melina and Victoria?

 

Who even know if Bliss will be champ at Mania especially if they do a women’s EC next month

By next year they will have added Ronda Peyton Royce Billie Kay Nikki Cross and Ember Moon and possibly Kairi Sane and Balszer so that’s another 5-7 at least

Then you can have Sasha and Alexa on the Raw side. Two very solid women's matches. And Charlotte and Asuka together could definitely hide some of Ronda's in-ring deficiencies that people are nervous about

But someone who has been training to wrestle full time for, what, a year and isn't going to be that good of a promo either isn't entertaining to me, especially when it comes at the expense of other workers who are entertaining to me.

Getting Rousey in the fold doesn't mean the shitty riot squad is gone.

C'mon, you know that's not nearly the right comparison. It'd be like if someone retired young from the NFL and then came to WWE and was given a title shot on the biggest show of the year. Comparing that to someone who proved basically for a decade that he was a top 10 wrestler and then became one of the 3 or 5 biggest names in the sport the year or so prior to coming to WWE is just a ludicrous statement to make.

Maybe she is a natural and I'll look dumb as hell. I hope I'm wrong. I don't see why EVERYONE isn't skeptical that someone so inexperienced isn't going to be a hindrance rather than an asset between the ropes. Again, I would love for nothing more than her to step in and be amazing.

 

Fucking this so much. I don't understand how anyone can be optimistic about this. I genuinely hope I'm wrong and she's great, but the only part of her abilities as a wrestler that is currently a known quantity is her acting ability and it is painfully bad. What situation like this has WWE handled correctly in the past to make us think this will work? Why am I supposed to "give her a chance"? Giving her a chance is putting her in the PC and teaching her how to wrestle, not a major match at WrestleMania. If anyone else in her shoes started training today they wouldn't even be doing NXT live events by April, but she's going to be wrestling at Mania instead of someone like Sasha, Becky or Bayley. Fuck that.

 

Damn I was about to say everyone has finally stopped being so annoying about Ronda and then I reached the last page. @M.Lee and the other guys, I agree with you wholeheartedly. Ronda rocks and I’m excited for whatever she’s gonna do. I got the impression she might challenge steph since the whole wm showdown but maybe they’ll do it for next wm. I’m happy she’s dedicated and a fan. I’m thinking asuka already best Alexa so it doesn’t make sense to just have her win the rumble for a title match she already earned by pinning the champ (clean?) so she’s probably challenging Charlotte. I’m fine with whatever they do with Rousey tbh.
