Mercenary Kings looks like the Metal Slug game I've always wanted.

 

Celeste is getting overwhelmingly positive reviews.

I'm afraid that it is too hard

 

I watched a video review, it looks great but I won't play it, I'd just get frustrated

 

It is going to be too hard but the sense of accomplishment I get when I beat a screen in these types of games is unparalleled. This is coming from a guy who has died 4000 times in The End is Nigh and still thinks it's a blast so...

oh, and it's a far better game than Super Meat Boy so if anybody is reading this and thinking about getting SMB, JUST GET THE END IS NIGH, THANKS.

 

we need an achievement/trophy system ASAP. and it better be retroactive, because i am not going back and collecting 900 koroks again from scratch!

i assume this will roll out with the online service?

 

I don’t think they’ll ever roll that out. It’s kinda unnecessary imo

I really want to buy Pokémon Crystal on 3ds eshop today, but also I keep thinking to myself...I can already play Soulsilver on the same console. Feels different to me than buying R/B/Y on virtual console did, because there was no good way to play those games on that system. HG/SS is already a very good port of 2nd gen.

 

I only have space in my life for one punishing game at a time and right now it's Cuphead. Once I get through that I'll probably pick up Celeste, it doesn't look too gnarly. I've read it's slightly more accessible that Super Meat Boy, Nigh, etc.

 

Celeste looks sick, think I'll pick it up tomorrow.

 

Celeste apparently has a very extensive assist mode for noobs. I might pick it up then.

 

i just got Splatoon 2 a little while ago and WOW am i having fun

it's been so long since i've played any kind of shooter on console so i'm having to reorient myself to joystick controls (esp with motion controls)

 

Watched some more Celeste videos. I'm sold.

 

Yeah it looks crazy good. It also has that shadow mario mechanic we saw in 3D Land except there’s 5 more shadows

 

Just grabbed Golf Story, pumped. thinking about grabbing this Max: Curse of Brotherhood game as well.

 

I played the demo. Felt the controls weren’t good at all.

 

I wish I could play Golf Story for the first time again

Almost done with Steam World Dig 2. Just have to

beat those challenge rooms that you get for collecting all the relics
Still need to finish golf story. Its fun, I just always start playing something else and then gravitate towards that when I pick up my switch.

Celeste looks really fun. "like super meat boy but not quite as hard or punishing" sounds right up my alley.
