it's so funny I was listening to them thinking "damn I wish I could see them live" and then spotify showed me they're in brooklyn and it's not sold out somehow

How’s Few holding up for everyone? I’m still digging it but I find myself missing the layers that It Hates You and Heavy Fruit had. Still, it has some great bangers.

I think they could definitely take over for AIC if they ever retire.

It's a great album with a few weak parts for me but even more amazing parts. It is a lot more straightforward than their other stuff which makes me rank it lower than the others aside from IAH. but yeah, bangers for days and the songs rule live. Like Jordan. Damn.

I think I like it more than Heavy Fruit, might like It Hates You more. Still love all of their albums.

This is a tour that needs to happen. AIC fans need to know what’s up.

Jordan is so good. Beaufort, Eastern Locust, and The Garden are my favorites along with it. I just feel like there’s less “Holy shit!” moments compared to their other albums.

I initially liked it more than Heavy Fruit, but nowadays I think Fruit is maybe their most interesting album. It Hates You is still the champ of their discography for me though.

Pretty much what Bryan said! Jordan is most likely my favorite song on the record too lol.

It’s a great album, for sure, but it seems less ambitious in creativity when compared to their past records. I definitely don’t come back to this record as much as I thought I would which sucks.

With that said; there are a lot of gems on this record.

Air Raid, Gold Dust, Jordan, Eastern Locust, and Fritz The Dog (despite the silly lyrics) are my favorites.

It Hates You will never be topped but that is fine with me. I’ve made my peace with it.

Heavy Fruit is a great follow up to the two albums before it. They're all pretty close in quality. Also the Vampyre is also a few highlight. Beastly song. Eastern Locust also shreddddddds live. But yeah more creativity and weirdness next time would go a long way.

100% my favorite. I honestly think it’s a perfect album. Few is alright, but I never come back to it. I consider it bottom tier HIL tbh

Heavy Fruit is probably on their lower end for me tbh, but their "lower end" is not low by any means. Different strokes for different folks and all that jazz.

  16. The song Heavy Fruit has sorta become THE quintessential HIL song for me. It's everything they excel at: nice earwormy hooks, fun speedier thrashy stuff, and huge droney/atmospheric breakdowns

Heavy Fruit is on the middle to lower end for me too but man do I LOVE “Smoker Scoff”. One of my all time favorite songs from HIL.

the ships have all sailed to the sea

My top three from each release:

91025: Martini, Either They Decorated for Christmas Early..., Down in a Crypt

I Am Hollywood: The Creature Walks, China White, Dinner with a Gypsy

Suck Out the Poison: Attack of the Dungeon Witch, The Widow Of Magnolia, The Pot Bellied Goddess

It Hates You: Stranger Danger, Decisions, Mean Shadows

Few: Beaufort, Eastern Locust, The Garden

It’s crazy how many people hated SotP when it came out. Now I see comments all the time asking them to make another album that sounds like it.
