Wonder if this will only be a one off show for blink or if they will have a few warm up shows like that did in 2015. Also wondering if they have plans for any other shows this year. Would be nice to have them mention future plans.

They need to make Knoxville up to me

  3. I honestly do not know what planet these kids live on? Do they REALLY want that?!

I kinda feel like blink is back to the not-needing-to-practice blink and they'll maybe do two tech rehearsals, add one new song and play the same old setlist.

    Sleekest of beaks. So Good.

I could see a couple smaller venue shows leading up to it for fun again.

Yeah I'd be surprised if they didn't:
    A) Add a song from the Deluxe edition of California
    B) Have the same set list they've had for the past 2 years

I’ll go to Musink. I went to the first one with Skiba and I was so hyped to see their first performance together but then of course they added 2 shows before it

Actually, I might just hold out for a SOMA date

Wow I'm shocked Blink is playing this again. I went to Musink last year and was really surprised at how small the concert area was. Cool to see a band as big as Blink play in that hanger!

Yup. Inside an airplane hangar. Pretty cool spot if you ask me. It sounded way better than I was expecting.

New Good Charlotte album was fantastic

I was right about a trap rapper I totally dislike with the Sunday artist

This was a cool breakdown although this video probably took longer to sit through than it did for Tom to write the actual song haha it was really cool hearing Mark's isolated harmonies though.

This is, in a nutshell, why blink was so good back in the day. They just stuck to fundamentals and stacked the most simple ideas together to make something unique. Then Travis came in to give it that extra bit of intricacy to make it all sound more interesting then it actually was.

    Things have changed.

This is why Jerry Finn was a wizard and why they'll never be the same without him, no matter who they get to produce. Enema is just a flawlessly produced album, especially for being on tape.

  17. yeah, that was a cool video.

I tried explaining this a while back, and I think what makes him such a force is that he kind of gets the band to enhance their own music without leaving his own stamp on the song. What I mean is that I couldn't describe to you what the Jerry Finn sound is - I just know some of the bands he's worked with have produced their best albums with him because he apparently given them the tools to do so.

Feldmann is the perfect person to demonstrate the opposite effect. You can tell when he has had a hand in it - the melodies sound like his, the tones and textures sound like his, there is a formula to the song structures, etc. It's more of a "Here's what I would do" style of producer as opposed to Jerry's ability to give the bands the tools they need to push themselves in whatever direction they want to go.

  21. That's why i feel like someone like Bill Stevenson would be very well suited for Blink-182. It seems like he's pretty hands off with the actual songwriting.

And agree on this as well. I’m not a Feldmann hater by any means but I will 100% admit to the style differences and say Finn is the superior producer
