Jesse's name is rarely - if ever - brought up in the continuous 'me too' stories as a Weinstein, Spacey, Louis CK or some of the other big celebrities that have been brought down. I’m certain that TONS of their fans have no clue what transpired. Not everyone is like us, glued to the internet all day.

On another note, if the theory that has been floated out about some of the band members just sticking with the band simply for monetary reasons rings true, than doing another tour probably wouldn't make sense because IF they were to do another tour, I'm guessing that the band would HAVE to donate a good portion of sales to say - a RAINN (or something similar) - so I'm not even sure at this point how much money they'd actually bring in.

LOUD? well yeah. there's always a vocal minority online about stuff.

 

Yeah, I've said as much in many posts on here.

A small group of people can still create a large, loud and unavoidable lashback.

 

I wonder which group is bigger, those that consider themselves fans and don't know or those that know and don't care?

 

While I feel that Brand New is not performing again, I saw today that Cosby's getting back on stage.....so I guess anything really is possible!

Despite Jesse's disgusting actions, I can't imagine one would equate them with Cosby's.

 

Yeah no, Cosby is quite possibly the worst story I’ve heard of any situation involving sexual abuse. Like, I believe that you have to be mentally ill or truly the devil incarnated to be a serial rapist.

 

just today a doctor was sentenced to life in prison for abusing 150+ young girls and a major university and olympic organization turned a blind eye to it

 

I watched the whole hearing and all the victims speaking at the hearing. The judge was right in not reading his full statement. She outright stated she wouldn't read most of it because it would be him re-victimizing (is that a word?) those girls. The coach who referred his students to him for years told him to go to hell too. Proper send off for a Grade A P.O.S.

 

hope he's kept alive as long as possible until every single one of his organs fail and he's rotting in his own shit and blood

 

The fact that he had the nerve to write up a 2 page excuse as to how the media and judge are against him and how he only plead guilty to avoid hearing statements from his victims made my skin crawl. If you wanted sympathy, that was about the best way you could go about killing any chance of that. What a gross moron.

Are people having trouble listening to Science Fiction, other albums, or the entire discography, or just don’t care to listen at all? Curious to how people have been dealing with that, if at all.

 

It's less trouble and more that I just don't want to. No shortage of other great music new and old to spend time with.
