  3. The correct order isn't drastically different. It solves some issues I had with the incorrect order: Young and Menace shouldn't be the opener, Stay Frosty Milk Tea should be the opener, Young and Menace shouldn't be followed be Champion, and Sunshine Riptide shouldn't be the penultimate track. The Last of the Real Ones coming before instead of after Hold Me Tight or Don't didn't throw me out of the loop as much as I expected. Probably my only gripe--a minor one--is I think now that Young and Menace and Champion are pushed into the second half of the album, the first half is now even more energetic in comparison to the second than it already was.

tl;dr This is good. I can get used to this.

I do think the correct order makes the album top heavy but I think that's worth it to not have such a sloggy start the other way

It's just not the time or place but if I see him come around the Yellowcard thread we're gonna have a discussion.

The correct order makes Champion sound even better, and I initially didn’t like that song

I’m giving Soul Punk a legit chance for maybe the first time??? and some of this is cool af and more up my alley than most post-hiatus FOB. Everybody Wants Somebody is

  8. Champion has grown so much on me - my bottom three tracks are Sunshine Riptide, Hold Me Tight or Don't, and Young and Menace (although I don't necessarily dislike any of those three)

It's hard for me to fairly rank these all since the pre-release tracks are so much more familiar to me still.

Top three right now is probably: Wilson, Church, and Young + Menace.

Bottom three: Stay Frosty, Sunshine Riptide, Champion. That's in order from favorite to least favorite, even though I have definitely come around to Champion now. I wish I liked Stay Frosty as much as everyone. Sunshine would probably be lower than Champion if it weren't for the Burna Boy verse.

Best moment on the album is the Bishops Knife Trick bridge.

The only Soul Punk track I liked was Spotlight and even then I prefer the alternative (oh nostalgia) version

So happy to see an appreciation for Soul Punk here. The album was largely ignored and written off. from a vocal perspective, he gained so much confidence in that era. his falsetto all over the album is to die for. The bass and groggy guitar in Allie make me so happy. I based my clothing off his style during this era.

I’m still shocked how much I like this. I remember hearing Young and Menace when they dropped it last year and then Champion and I really thought this was gonna be awful

Champion was typical mediocre single fare but young and menace was so weird and out there that even though I didn't like it at first I was intrigued about what this album would be like from the start. once hold me tight dropped and I saw Wilson clips live I knew they'd come through
