Listening to Soul Punk right now. there's some good stuff, but it's not my favorite. Very impressive that he played most of the instruments.

 

definitely enjoyable overall, and some cool ideas, but it shows that it's probably a good thing that Patrick isn't the only lyricist, or lead, for FOB... ha

 

I like how Patrick has kind of started bringing his old look back right now with the sideburns and baseball caps

Remember when Victory Records told fans of Hawthorne Heights to do this with their debut at their local stores so they could top the charts?

After some time with MANIA I think I've worked out what my two biggest critisms are. 1) The mix on most of these songs feels very "loudness wars." 2) I think I would have enjoyed an album that was one or two songs longer, there are a lot of weird ideas on here and I feel like some of them deserve a little more room.

 

Not quite as good as the Winona "Woo!" but it is close.

 

It’s so weird to me that the tracklist still hasn’t been fixed on digital platforms... I wonder if they’re just planning on leaving it now?

 

I’m in love with Stay Frosty as the opener now, that one grew on me fast.

 

They really need to change the order on Spotify, it's easy to rearrange and listen but just slightly annoying to do every time

 

this album does so much that it doesn't feel like a 35-minute record, but it IS. compact af

I can't overstate how awesome it feels to be loving FOB again....and damn Frosty is a killer opener--are you smelling that shit?!

The best moment of the entire album is “if death is the last appointment then we’re all just sitting in the waiting room.”

 

Someone mentioned that to rearrange the order they'd probably have to take the album off of digital stores and streaming services. If that's the case their team probably doesn't want to detract from first week sales by making it impossible for someone to easily buy the album at any point this week.
