Owen Hart documentary is must watch for literally anyone. Great work from WWE

 

I've been living with my roommate for almost two years, and he's never liked wrestling, but in the past few months he's begun watching it a bit whenever I am. This week he told me that he's watching Extreme Rules with me because he hates Charlotte and Ric and he wants them to lose that badly. It didn't hit me how much Charlotte had grown as a heel until then

 

Sounds like he is setting himself up for disappointment. Just like the rest of us.

 

yeah, was gonna say...better prepare him for that inevitable loss for Nattie. And its gonna be because of Ric interference

 

I barely watch SmackDown, but I'll read the spoilers. I can't figure out why anybody would by tickets for a SmackDown show, it's garbage most of the time if not all the time.

 

I've tried telling him, but he's holding out hope. Oddly enough, the segment that really sold him on wrestling was the backstage one with Charlotte/Ric/Dr. Phil....

 

haha, i mean, it is hinting at them breaking up.

I guess I could see Charlotte losing because Flair interferes and costs her the title...but, feel like thats an event saved for Sasha winning the title

 

Trish was talking about how much she loves Sasha recently. The girl is gold.

 

Anyone still defending Charlotte retaining at Mania?

Now Sasha is inexplicably banished from TV (yet again). Becky is working some dumbass B-level Smackdown story with roster call-ups. And Charlotte is doing a snoozeworthy feud with Natty centered around Bret Hart and her dad instead of.. you know, the actual women and title.

The post-Mania shake-up with a new champion could have involved all 3 of those girls, and potentially someone like Paige or Natty as well. That was hands-down a top 2 worst decision/result of WM.

 

I'd be down for Sasha taking the title at MITB or SS. Then build a feud with Paige.

 

I wonder if they'd make a MITB ladder match for the women's title. Paige, Becky, Nattie, Emma, Dana, and maybe Bayley? Assuming Sasha's feuding with Charlotte by then

 

Except it's not. Smackdown has been a decent show for a while now.

 

Just got back from NXT Largo. Best match of the night was Peyton Royce vs Adrienne Reese (formerly Athena). Reese's top rope flipping stunner finisher is so awesome.

TMDK was great in the opening match against the Authors of Pain (who are almost like if you mixed Matanza Cueto with Guerillas of Destiny).

Lana showed up and tagged with Mandy against Carmella and Daria.

Christopher Girard vs Patrick Clark was pretty good. Loved Patrick's patriotic heel gimmick.

Angelo Dawkins' "curse of greatness" gimmick continues to be the most over thing on these shows

Main event was Tye Dillinger vs Manny. Was pretty great

I sat right next to where Izzy was standing by the guardrail and it was cool to see her reactions to wrestlers and their reactions to her, especially the heels. Peyton Royce shushing Izzy while looking disgusted was priceless.

 

Got tickets to a house show in a month. 4th row behind where the announcers would be. How's a house show differ from Raw? I've only been to tv tapings

 

Nah WWE would just do the usual battle royale where they don't even have to go over the top rope to be eliminated instead!

 

They can be pretty fun because they are actually allowed to wrestle. Went to one back when Cena and Seth were feuding while Cena was still WWE champ I believe and it was waaaay better than anything they did on TV around that time

 

Like said above, they're a lot more fun because there's way more wrestling. New Day would probably still cut a promo as well as a heel or two will cut one against the city they're in. All the faces will usually go over and there will be a decent amount of families and kids. It's a lot of fun. 2.5 hours long usually.

 

Who thinks that the Vaudes actually walk out of Extreme Rules with the titles? I mean New Day has had a very long reign so i don't think they are holding on to them for much longer.

 

I haven't read spoilers and I'm only a casual ROH fan, but is Global Wars worth downloading?

 

I'm starting to believe the rumors that Natalya is going to be the female leaving the WWE. This has to be a Brie-esque, 'thank you, here's one last angle before you leave' type deal. Although, if this were a fun era, I'd rather they pull a trish and have Natalya actually win the title, only to retire the next night....setting up MITB for the women's title. Bam. (not happening)

I'm just having a hard time finding a reason why Charlotte vs Natalya has happened 3 times in 4 months.

I also am flabergasted at the idea of Sasha being TOTALLY OFF TV. I thought this time was going to be spent letting her character expand more on the main roster.

I don't even know if Natty would qualify. But since Tyson's career is over, it fits I guess.

 

I can see Sasha getting involved in the Becky/Emma/Dana thing. Which is fine for me because I wanna see Emma and Sasha work together.

 

Lillian tweeted that she'd be back on raw this week.....some other source says she's fired though. For now, I'll believe the tweet? Unless Lillian is in some sort of denial mode right now haha

 

The source is Court Bauer, who specifically said he re-confirmed Lillian's release right before "announcing" it. I don't know.

 

Watching PWG Lemmy. I swear every heel in wrestling needs to study Roderick Strong. I can't think of any other heel (that's actually meant to be a heel) in wrestling right now that can generate as much heat from "smart" crowds than Roddy.
