I had/still have the Infinity On High guitar tab book and there's some slick playing on that record.

Hahaha yes!!! I also had several Offspring ones, Weezer's green album, and Relient K's Two Lefts.

Apparently I didn't know that all that stuff can be found online for free?

I have one and it's still my go to guitar even though I've expanded my collection. It's got a really good tonal range, that really fat gretsch tone comes through using all 3 pickups.

I feel the same way about musicians that ICP feels about magnets. Like how does it all work??? How do they know what to do??? I always hear about pedals and loops and tones and all these things and what does it all meeeean? How do they just know how to put a song together?? it's too much!!

the amount of brain space I use on music gear and recording and mixing and how it all works and is done is ridiculous

I had this phase a few months ago where I convinced myself I could be a super amazing and relateable songwriter and that the only thing holding me back was that I couldn't find my notebook. Found a notebook and pen and sat there for like thirty minutes, finally wrote the word "hello" which is the word I doodle on everything, and gave up lol.

I've been writing songs and playing guitar since 6th Grade, now 4 years later most of it makes sense

BUT HOW DO THEY MAKE ALL THE KEYBOARDS PLAY IN TIME AND MIDI SETTINGS WORK, AND THEN MAKE THE VOCALS NOT SOUND LIKE SHIT IN THE MIX, I DON'T UNDERSTANNDDDDD

Lyrics and skramz are all I can do which is ironic because my conversational syntax is always disjointed and I don't look like a screamy guy lol

I’m always fascinated about vocalists. It’s clear Patrick has gotten better with each album and I’m sure he practices and whatnot to improve and stay so good. But I wonder about normal people. Can anyone learn to sing? If I really worked at it, could I go from never having sung outside of my shower to being somewhat decent?

How do you use your diaphragm to sing like what

Imagine you're just chilling and Patrick Stump is just wandering around in the background belting out like that I'm going to cry.

That must be mildly annoying for employees. I see stans do that a lot and idgi. idg stans in general. Camila's stans raised money so they could buy a bunch of copies of her album to help her go number one and just imagine raising money and that be the cause lmao.

For one reason or another, I just gave the album my first proper listen (I'd preordered it, listened to the singles once, and that was all).

Sure enough, this is an absolutely delightful listen. And after all the complaints about how it was too poppy or too much of a 'collection of singles,' I didn't find either criticism to be remotely true. It's certainly pop-rock, but it's definitely not pop-pop, and it's pop-rock in a good way, in that it's catchy and creative and an absolute blast. And the album flows super well too - it feels like one listening experience and not singles at all. It's a more cohesive record than SRAR or AB/AP, for sure.

All in all, I'm quite happy with it, and am sure it'll be in heavy rotation for quite some time.

  25. Damn Mania just climbed my ranking of FOB albums sorted by how cute Patrick was when they released
