This album has been on repeat since I got it. genuinely did not expect to like it as much as I do

It’s so interesting to look into sales. Camila Cabello just sold around the same amount that FOB is projected to do, but her traditional sales were around 50% of the total whereas FOB’s is like 95%

 

Havana hit 1 today which is a great song and thugger has a number 1 now

 

Bands that are able to keep the same line up for extended periods are always special to me. Jimmy eat world, thrice, alkaline trio, circa survive, converge, etc. bands that keep the same line up for so long end up always impressing me

 

AB/AP's first week was 88% pure album sales so they have a really strong front there.

 

FOB fans at large seem to be bigger album listeners than other fandoms in pop

 

For sure. and there hasn't been a massive single yet for this album to drive up those streaming numbers

 

I was watching old fob videos with my 17 year old sister and she was so disgusted by Pete lol. She was like um what is that salute thing (in sugar we're going down) and why is he licking that??? (In dance dance) and I was like idk it's Pete. I thought both those things were so cool when I was younger haha and that weird tremor dance thing he does in dance dance I also thought was so kewl

 

Me and my gf always do the salute and licking things on time in sync lol

Church, Champions, and Hold Me Tight are the weakest songs. Like many of you, I've been a fan of this band for a long ass time. These three songs feel . . . like a Telsa on autopilot? A smooth ride, true, just a little boring. I don't know, the hooks just suck. It's sounds like they were actually trying to make hits. Scary right? They don't sound natural.

On the other hand . . . Stay Frosty, Wilson, The Last Of The Real Ones (because of that pre-chorus), Sunshine Riptide, and Bishop Knife Trick are wonderful.

Good album. I just hate those three songs.

I'd kill for a full "Making Of" thing for MANIA.

 

I could watch Patrick in the studio for hours

Me every two and a half years when we get a new fall out boy album

 

They posted Patrick tracking guitar on HMTOD when it came out so I hope he actually did more than just these two.

Plus, that one was neat because the second verse was slightly different lyrically.
