Should I listen to Deftones? I only recognize the 50 and 40 dollar bands, never had a nu metal phase, or whatever those bands would be considered. Hard rock? Idk

 

I feel like they are technically numetal though, but genres are dumb anyway

 

they started that way but they were really the only ones to transcend that label imo

Yes. I agree with starting with White Pony and moving forward from there. It’s not my favorite album, but it seems to be where they really started to hit their stride

Also both Call Me By Your Name and Lady Bird are great

 

if anything I think GJ pulled from deftones a bit. A couple songs on the new album sound deftones-ish to me, but yeah glassjaw are also in a league of their own

I never listened to any of the STD albums after In Reverie (and idk if I've even listened to that since it came out) besides S/T, are they worth checking out?

 

I watched antibirth the other day on Netflix and it had some really trippy scenes. It was Gud yah

 

Sound the Alarm and Under The Boards are great. In Reverie is my favorite tho

yo I had all 3 VR Troopers and i even got the "4th" Vr Trooper when Ryan got his new suit after Grimlord destroyed his old one.

real talk probably the nerdiest thing im into still is Super Sentai/Power Rangers and other kinds of Tokusatsu stuff. Kamen Rider/Masked Rider is dope as shit and im sad theres never really been a good longrunning american version of it
