While I’m not personally interested in Labo, I think it’s very clever - for that age demographic (kids under 12), Nintendo aren’t competing against other consoles per se, they’re competing against tablets. This is the sort of notable point of difference that would make a kid who isn’t yet hardcore into video games (beyond mobile stuff) want to pick up a Switch over continuing to just be happy with a tablet.

  7. I had to chuckle at the Nintendo Labo stuff, because the dev kits they send developers come with a little cardboard stand you fold together for the console, and when I saw the Labo reveal I was like "Ahhha Nintendo, of course you would."

I feel like kids will have a blast with these.

i've spent the last little while working on switching out the casing for my switch. everything was going (relatively) smoothly, until i went to screw the joycon casing back together. stripped a screw, and now it's halfway in, halfway out. fml

on the plus side, it does look awesome.

edit: after another hour of fiddling with it, i think i'm just going to take it to microcenter or something. meanwhile, the right joycon process was seamless. if i had been more careful, it wouldn't have been an issue. i'm not handy at all, and my sausage fingers aren't good for this kind of technical work, but i was still able to pull it off so i would def recommend to anyone.

Is Payday 2 worth checking out when it releases? Never played the console versions.

    don't.

    console support is terrible.

What color did you go with? I have definitely been tempted to give this a shot.

I use a dremel to cut a straight line in small stripped screws so I can use a flat head on it. Or solder on a small nut, so I can use a socket to remove it. If you don’t have access to those tools, and enough of the head is exposed, needle nose pliers should work, or put a rubber band over the Phillips tip. This will increase the surface area and add some grip to help get a better bite on the screw.

Internet connection is up at my new place. And for the first time in months I can finally play Splatoon again.

Not yet, processing is moving so slowly and I have no idea why. But I did move out some weeks ago.

So bad at this game still lol

I'm still figuring it out but I usually get between 700-900 xp without a win bonus so I'm not terrible I guess

Ranked however...that's a different story. Splat Zones is my favorite mode so far, I fucking suck at the clam one

I've tried a few things already, but I'm just going to take it over to Microcenter or a computer repair place and see if they can take care of it. I assume they deal with stuff like this all time time.

I guess nintendo wasn’t lying about the SNES classic stock levels. I see those things everywhere now.

Just bought my son a 2ds. Trying to think of what kind of games he can play without having to read. I’m thinking like the LEGO games and maybe some Mario. He’s been hooked on Odyssey and Super Mario World

Ha, I have the same agreement with my wife and thankfully she watches A TON of tv shows that I have no interest in (mainly every single Bravo show).
