Small world. I went to high school with Lyman Stone and used to meet up with him for tea very frequently on summer breaks in my college days. Actually a very smart guy, but deeply religious and confused on some issues because of it (Not sure if his views have changed since, it was mainly on Gay marriage in the 08-09 years). Big Ron Paul supporter, got super burned out by the shenanigans at the conventions, then went on to be a big Rand Paul guy. Much more articulate of a debater than the current bullshit they GOP has been peddling, though the last I'd heard he was doing obscure statistical surveys about agriculture, which fits my view that he's too smart to be caught within a mile of Trump.

Oh, wow. I just checked his facebook and he wrote an article titled "Why there is never a flight 93 election for Christians" as a counter to that hideous article that every conservative under the sun was using to justify voting for Trump. His blurb on the site made me think they had him writing up corn, so that was something of a pleasant surprise. Other articles include examining the actual numbers of terrorist acts committed by certain ethnic groups as a counter to the bad faith arguments for the Muslim ban (the comments on that article are ... wild, in a bad way). It's not exactly woke stuff, but a billion times better than the tripe the Times is printing from Trump supporters this week.
