the thing is you know Goldberg isn't gonna appear all over like Jericho, especially when Jericho said his further appearances to build up the feud were his idea and not something the office pushed for. i would say Goldberg could wrestle three matches and take up a cumulative less than 60 minutes of screen time. it's a negligible compromise for a fan to make for their fav company to take their international appeal/expansion to a new level.

 

Goldberg would do nothing but help NJPW get recognition. He could easily work a quick, stiff match with someone. Give me Kitamura/Goldberg please

 

I just don't think he will do it. He's a family man now, hates training, vocalizes how hard it is for him at his age now to stay in shape. New Japan doesn't have the funds that he probably would ask for.

 

Both podcasts have fleeted back and forth between sorta good and unlistenable for me since they split up.

I don't want to see Goldberg in NJPW unless he is putting guys over. He can run through jobbers leading up to a big match, but the other guy better go over.

Shoemaker has this one dude, I forget his name but he goes by 'The King of Sadstyle' and he is fucking hilarious. But he is such a busy dude he is rarely on it. I wish he would do it every week.

 

Look at what happened to Kevin Owens; how it killed all the heat for his Jericho feud, how it took him months to recover....and now put that in a promotion where wins and losses matter.

Jericho is one thing, he has a history of putting people over. Can you name a single person that Brock put over during his run? Only person I can think of that is better off than a little over a year ago is Goldberg.

 

St. Germain, right? I actually think he works best on the podcast because he's not on every single week. I think he'd get old real fast otherwise. I enjoy when they have Steve Kazee on the most, I think. Schilling is...yeah. According to Twitter they have Skylar Astin on this week, and I can't remember if it was a past Masked Man podcast, but I remember him being on a wrestling podcast once and I thought he was enjoyable.

 

you have to weigh the damage that may be done to one or two guys against the good it would do for the company and brand as a whole. losses do matter, but i don't think anyone would be unable to recover from taking a loss to the winningest main eventer in wrestling history pretty much. Owens was also booked like dog shit.

 

Listening to Daniel Bryan’s audiobook and holy fuck the other guy narrating it makes me want to punch my ears till I can’t hear no more. D-Bry doing a great job on his story tho

 

Schilling is a nice dude, but just so damn bland. Hmm Skylar Astin doesn't ring a bell but i'm sure i'll recognize when I hear em.

 

Yeah, I don't hate him by any means. I've never met him personally, but I know he's a hustler (by that I mean he's always looking to do work, not a negative) and I can respect that. I just don't think he bounces off Shoemaker all that well. Shoemaker is such a even-keeled guy most of the time, I think he sort of needs a louder personality like Rosenberg in the picture. That way the two of them can balance each other out.

 

For me personally, it's because what makes NJPW so great is the high level of in ring product. They build up great characters and feuds still, but at the end of the day it's the wrestling that shines the most. Goldberg has never been the greatest in ring performer. He's just an attraction. I totally understand why NJPW would want him because the attention he'd bring (especially to US fans) would be massive! It's just not something I personally want to see.

 

I haven’t listened to cheap heat or masked man show in so long. Used to love cheap heat before the split. My opinion on Rosenberg varies from day to day.

What does cheap heat sound like now? Is there another third man or is it just Rosenberg and Greg? How’s it been since he started working with WWE? So many questions

It’s just Rosenberg and Greg. It’s bad. They’re both just doing hot takes the entire time and without the straight man it’s a difficult listen. I unsubbed a few months ago, but that’s where it was when I stopped.
