This is kinda weird. Early TNA had a lot of roided out dudes.

This PPV they are showing has AJ Styles, Petey Williams and Chris Sabin in Ultimate X, which sounds fucking awesome.

i watched TNA PPVs religiously from 2004-2007. Wal Mart would always have the DVDs for mad cheap. i'd watch them then trade them into FYE for about as much store credit as i paid.

almost always bad angles, but rarely a bad match in the undercard. main event scene was often trash

NXT is 3/3 at Royal Oak, and ROH is 5/12 also at Royal Oak.

 

Basically the only TNA I've ever watched is a Best of the X Division DVD I randomly purchased on clearance when I wasn't even watching wrestling and the AJ/Joe/Daniels triple threat.

Looking forward to checking out some old stuff now.

 

it's crazy. Aries is in there as Austin Starr. i believe Roderick Strong worked some small stints. it's cool to see those guys young and hungry with good production values even if they hadn't hit their peak yet. TNA got it's teeth in before the big indy boom took form and those guys visibly busted their asses knowing they were on TV

 

Sonjay Dutt deserved better.

Jim Johnson worked "23 hours for a week straight" to finish the music for No Holds Barred. Gotta imagine Vince and Hogan shared their cocaine.

 

Then I go to the channel and the first thing I see is Jarrett and Nash fighting each other.

Maybe I don't need to check out the old stuff....
