I definitely will be. I think i'm gonna have several beers while recording vocals in a few minutes, haha. I only had a half day at work, so fuck it. I have the next 3 days off.

 

I need to save the rest of my beer for the weekend

 

I actually wasn't hung over this morning. I chugged pedialyte before I went to bed so that's prob why.

 

Anyone here? I'd like some sound, drunken advice on possibly a poor decision I could be making.

You're my dude then... no life-changing decisions, but more of a financial one. Didn't want to rush into a choice.

I'm attending the Firefly Festival in June in DE and I'm not a huge fan of the Saturday schedule, but I know Shadow of the City is going on that day in Jersey. I'm thinking about paying the $80+ to go to that, plus $200 for the hotel, plus the 2.5+ hour drive there, plus back the next morning to go to Sunday of Firefly.

Is that too much for one weekend or is that just optimizing my options?

 

Hmmm , What is it of Shadow of the city that makes you want to go? Is it a favorite band or act you can't see any other time? If so, and you can afford it...go for it. If going for more of a casual fun thing, I say no.

 

Also where are you coming from? Delaware or up north? Traffic could make it real shitty in June that sunday morning but you'd be going southbound which shouldn't be too bad that morning.

 

Well, Steel Train (top 5 favorite band or so) is reuniting and with Bleachers coming out with a new record soon, I don't see them reuniting again any time in the near future. I'd pay close to $80 to see them reunite alone, but Carly Rae and 1975 makes it feel like it's worth it. Financially, I don't think it'd be a problem since I'm boring and cheap and don't do much, but I just didn't want to drain myself or something with all the travelling, etc. Festivals take a lot out of me in my old age, haha.

 

I'd go for a top 5. I almost traveled to the thursday reunion from Wisconsin but couldn't swing it financially. Just take it easy on saturday (or try) and grab some greasy food in the morning and drive down. DO IT.

 

Knew i could count on this thread. Already got a hotel room up there for Saturday night, so I plan on doing it. Just needed a push to commit to it. Thanks!

It'll be my first time there. The hotel I booked advertised taking a picture with the Jersey Shore duck phone. LOL... I'm actually kinda tempted to do that because I love shitty reality tv.

 

I was going to step in if @Derek told you not to go haha I'm good. I have been embarrassingly lazy all day. It's day to day with her. Today she was decent to me at least so no complaints. How about you?
