I enjoyed Andromeda. Just not as much as the original trilogy.

My entry was ME2 and I played it for a few hours and did not like it and stopped. I went back to it like a year later and ended up absolutely loving it. I had the exact same experience with Fallout New Vegas, which was my entry point into modern Fallout. I'm not sure what happened in both cases.

I liked it enough but I think I got lost once and just couldn't be bothered trying to find my way around after. That was like 5 years ago I think lol

I was playing the same Shephard for the entire trilogy so the feels was greater for me. I’m not sure if ME1 holds up but it definitely drags at the start. I enjoyed the story a lot though. And damn did the universe feel alive. Loved reading all the encyclopedic stuff in-game

Also Fallout 2 is my favorite Fallout game. 3 did not do it for me. I tried playing New Vegas on a desktop that couldn’t handle it years ago and gave up. But definitely playing that since those are the Black Isle/Interplay guys.

Same, I'm really attached to the first trilogy playing my same Shephard the whole way. One of my favourite game series. I really enjoyed Andromeda too. But the attachment is obviously greater to the originals.

New Vegas is better than 3 by far and I like 3 a lot. New Vegas is probably one of my 10 favorite games period.

I've barely scratched the surface of this game since Black Friday. Hopefully this will be cheaper to buy when I get to the end.

I like the game for what it is so far. I'm only just now getting out of the "first main area."

My only real complaints are driving and maybe AI but I think the driving is just me being bad at mafia style driving.

this is so weird to say haha, the similarities between Destiny and Monster Hunter are that they are video games with drops

for Monster Hunter skeptics, my summary (obviously more catered to prev titles than World):
    • There's not little story, there is no story at all. You are a monster hunter and there are places being plagued by monsters. You hunt the monsters. Sometimes they shoehorn in a means to it all by way of a bare minimum "my ship broke and i need to repair it" hook or something similar
    • All content is soloable. There are multiplayer tailored quests, sure, but if you're deep enough in endgame you can beat anything by yourself with a lot of planning.
    • There are drops like Destiny, and there is an RNG component to that, but also a fair bit more logic. If you want the tail, you need to cut off the tail. If you want the crest, breaking the crest will net you a better drop rate, etc.
    • There is no leveling your character! None. No respeccing stats to accommodate a change of focus. Your stats are all determined by your gear, which can be improved over time with certain items, but it's a low ceiling and you'll often be on the chase for your next armor set before you finish leveling whatever you're currently questing in.
    • There is a great incentive for us completionists to revisit lower level content with new players, as there's always a set to be completed. Even if it just looks cool.
    • It is very satisfying to go from barely able to topple a Rathalos to being decked out in it's skin from head to toe.
    • The DLC is all free, and there is plenty. Quests, monsters, gear, crosspromotional tie-ins. On the 3DS, it would be one free update a month for usually the majority of the first year. On the 3DS they did Mario/Zelda and some Capcom properties, on the PS4 they've announce Horizon themed gear/DLC
    • No lootboxes, no microtransactions.
